Education Facility Campaign

The Foundation is accepting contributions for its building campaign, a $4.7 million campaign, to fund a new Conservation Education Facility. The building will include a technologically state-of-the-art classroom and climate-controlled storage facility that will preserve the Foundation's extensive natural history collections. It will also include a visitors’ museum that will house a newly acquired, world-class collection of exquisitely mounted birds donated by Donald Bowman and a collection of wildlife art created specifically for the Foundation by the celebrated artist Francis L. Jaques. This project, scheduled for initiation upon receipt of adequate funding, will greatly enhance the ability of the Foundation to educate students and individuals of all ages about conservation and will increase public awareness of conservation issues. Please view our Educational Facility Campaign page to learn more about this project.

Research and Education Programs

We welcome contributions to our research and education programs, including the Conservation Across Boundaries® teacher education program and our innovative conservation education programs for youth and adults. Please visit our Research page to learn more about our internationally known Welder Wildlife Foundation Fellowship program and our Education page to learn more about our exlempary science-based conservation education programs.

Operations, Maintenance, and Renovations

Gifts to support operations or major maintenance and renovation programs are always welcome. Your support of these endeavors allows us to direct more of our funding to research and education. The Foundation welcomes any size of gift. Please contact Terry Blankenship or Selma Glasscock at 361-364-2643 to discuss the various way you can help.
